My favorite European country I have visited is Belgium. This is a little biased because I happened to live there, but I feel that there is so much to offer and so much to do upon visiting Belgium. Belgium is a country split by two major regions, the French speaking Wallonia to the south, and the Flemish speaking Flanders to the north. Belgium also happens to be the European Union capital, making it an international stronghold. Some of my favorite things about Belgium includes it's history (coinciding with Europe's history), the site-seeing, and of course the food.
There are many different cities in Belgium that I feel have so much to offer. I personally lived in a town called Waterloo; which many may know as the final battlefield for Napoleon Bonaparte. There is a cool monument for the battle out in the country called "Le But du Lion." Every two years there is a small re-enactment for the battle, and every four years there is a full scale re-enactment of his battle with the British. The gunshots can be heard from all over town.
